Spring/Summer 2026 Collection Presentation in Paris

— “Urban Safari” in Motion Through the City: TATRAS Spring/Summer 2026 — On June 25, at the TATRAS Spring/Summer 2026 presentation held at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, a vision unfolded of lightly crossing the boundary between city and nature, set against a dialogue between East and West.

A Stage Set in Stillness

Under the direction of curator Mehdi Dakhli, a mirrored reflecting pool, shoji screens, charred-cedar (shou sugi ban) benches, and a pure-white tree brought stillness to the austere concrete space. Ed Davenport’s score carried a gentle tension as light and shadow softly illuminated nylon taffeta and herringbone cotton, accentuating the lines of jodhpur pants and short jackets.

Urban Safari, the Pulse of the City

The theme is “Urban Safari.” Anchored in khaki and sand and punctuated with vivid green, camouflage and Japanese stripes are reinterpreted. Jodhpur pants, lightweight jackets, and multifunctional pieces—hooded styles and caps among them—adapt seamlessly to both city and nature, embodying TATRAS’s belief in design that moves with the wearer.

The Resonance of Light and Sound

In the final movement, the lighting intensified and vivid green emerged within silhouettes behind the shoji. The reflecting pool mirrored the looks; as models formed a line, fabric, light, and water layered over one another. The hard-edged concrete and serene stagecraft seemed to meld, and the venue was wrapped in a moment of silence. That lingering resonance impressed a sense of exhilaration and anticipation for the season ahead, and the show drew to a quiet close.
