THE IMAGINARY MUSEUM - TOKYO EDITION

— A museum imagined, brought to life through AR and VR —

Transcending physical boundaries, The Imaginary Museum represents a new era in art: an experience accessible from anywhere in the world. Its Tokyo edition took shape inside the TATRAS flagship store in Ginza, where fashion, art, and technology converge to offer a truly immersive and unprecedented experience.

A “Museum Without Walls” Comes to Life at TATRAS Ginza

Inspired by André Malraux’s concept of a “museum without walls,” this art project leverages AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) technologies to create an accessible and forward-thinking exhibition. The TATRAS Ginza store was transformed into a space where the cutting edge of art and fashion comes alive.

An Exclusive Opening Event Where Art Meets Fashion

The opening event showcased the latest TATRAS collection alongside a curated selection of digital artworks. Among the featured artists were Giovanni Leonardo Bassan, Egor Kraft, and Jeffrey Lilmom—key figures in the contemporary digital art scene. The immersive atmosphere was further enhanced by an original soundtrack composed by Ed Davenport, created especially for the exhibition.

A Space Where Inspiration Intertwines: TATRAS Looks Ahead

Curated by Mehdi Dakhli, this exhibition invites visitors to explore new forms of intangible art through AR/VR, reviving the spirit of the Fluxus movement and avant-garde experimentation. TATRAS continues to evolve as a brand, drawing inspiration from these cultural expressions. This collaboration marks a new expression of creativity and reflects TATRAS’s contemporary vision for the future.
